Readers are reminded that an arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent activity:

July 19

Carl C. Mcintire, 45, of Frankfort was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

Ryan B. Post, 23, of Frankfort was summoned for an inspection sticker violation.

July 21

Ryan M. Parker, 22, of Frankfort was headed south on the Hamm Road in Frankfort at about 2 a.m. in a 2002 Hyundai. Parker later told police at the scene that a deer ran out in front of the vehicle and that he swerved to avoid hitting the animal. The vehicle went off the road on the northbound side, according to the accident report, and traveled about 200 feet before coming to rest against a tree. Parker did not report the crash until just before 7 a.m., and police summoned Parker for failure to report an accident by the quickest of means and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Neither Parker nor his passenger, 20-year-old William James, was hurt. The Hyundai sustained about $6,000 worth of damage.

July 23

Robert J. Jurdak, 31, of Unity was charged with operating after suspension and for speeding for driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Jayme Ream, 34, of Winterport was arrested on a warrant for operating under the influence (one prior conviction) and was also charged with violating conditions of release.

July 24

Rebecca G. Goodman, 23, of Unity was summoned for speeding (45 mph in a 30 mph zone).

Tisha Pendleton, 39, of Morrill was arrested on a warrant for violating conditions of release.
