Sandra Gordon, community relations coordinator at Waldo County General Hospital, was recently installed as president for the Maine Society Directors of Healthcare Volunteer Services for a two-year term.

MSDHVS is a state-wide organization that exists to enhance the quality of volunteer services in Maine healthcare organizations by providing networking support, professional and educational opportunities and an exchange of ideas and information on volunteer programs. MSDHVS currently has 27 members representing 26 hospitals or home health agencies.

In her position at WCGH, Gordon works with the Hospital Aid, the volunteer group composed of community members who provide volunteers for service in the hospital and at fundraising events.
