The descendants of Herbert and Mildred Hills met at Belfast City Park in the pavilion Saturday, July 30.

There were 50 family members and guests present to enjoy the fellowship, including cousins David and Jack Hills who stopped by to say hello. Of the 10 children of Herbert and Mildred, four were present: Glenn Hills of Belfast, Basil Hills of Belmont, Marie Clark of Belmont, and Carl and Barbara Hills of Searsmont.

Those who were unable to come were Raymond Hills, 95, of Winterport, due to poor health; Evelyn Hills, 93, of Orleans, Mass.; and Ann Bucklin of Belmont, the youngest sister. Predeceased were Richard Hills, Helen Clements and Frances Rumney.

A picnic lunch was enjoyed from the varied foods on the tables.

Those who came from a distance were, Pat Hills from Portland, Ore., daughter of Glenn Hills; Liz, daughter of Raymond Hills, and her husband Jerry Suiter and friend Crystal Lancaster from North Carolina; Carolyn Nardiello, daughter of Marie Clark, and Ed Day of Schenectady, N.Y.; Becky, daughter of Marie Clark, and her husband Richard Surdam of Salisbury, Conn.; Carla and Mohammad, Sarah, daughter of Carl and Barbara Hills, and Faried Beladi of Dedham, Mass. Others came from near and far in Maine.

Many pictures were taken and it was late before all departed.
