Lily Kassen of Lincolnville, who will be a sophomore at Camden Hills Regional High School this fall, turned in the fastest time in the annual Montville two-mile footrace. The event kicked off the town’s annual field day Aug. 13.

The race raised $328 for the Montville Fire Department. The event, sponsored by Joe Thornley and Sons Cement Contractor, was organized by Chris Schmidt.

The race began at Bean’s Corner and Hidden Valley Camp Road and ended at Bartlett Stream.

Kassen, a cross-country, track-and-field and Nordic ski athlete for the Windjammers, finished the two-mile trek in 11:45.

The following are the top-three finishers in each age group:

Females 13 and younger — 1, Jordan King, 14:14; 2, Hadrianne Hatfield, 14:56; and 3, Jane Metzinger, 15:47.

Females 14-17 — 1, Kassen, 11:45; 2, Stephnie Silkey, 12:46; and 3, Janelle Thornley, 13:14.

Females 18-39 — 1, Kailyn Schmidt, 12:32; 2, Keri Holt , 12:56; and 3, Whitney Cross, 15:34.

Females 40 and older — 1, Martha McCluskey, 13:35; 2, Maggie Raymond, 14:32; and 3, Rebecca Brimley, 21:24.

Males 13 and younger — 1, Mam Nighswander, 13:01; 2, Macken Murphy, 13:22; and 3, Tyler Small, 13:25.

Males 18-39 — 1, Fob Baxter, 11:48; 2,  Exra Kramer, 12:19; and 3, Matthew Revitt, 12:29.

Males 40 and older — 1, Glen Widmer, 12:43; 2, Dan Avener, 13:11; and Eric Bassett, 19:14.
