Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following recent incidents in Waldo County. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 1-800-452-4664.

Aug. 8

Trooper Corey Smith summoned Robert Jurdak, 31, and Jenny Jurdak, 30, of Unity, for cultivating marijuana. The summonses were issued as the result of an investigation, according to police. Trooper Christopher Rogers assisted.

Aug. 9

Trooper Smith made a presentation to Area Driving School students at Belfast Area High School.

Aug. 10

Trooper Jonathan Russell stopped a vehicle on North Horseback Road in Burnham for speeding. Bruce Robbins, 40, was a passenger in the vehicle and Trooper Russell learned there was an active arrest warrant for him. Robbins was arrested and taken to Waldo County Jail without incident.

Trooper Russell stopped a vehicle on Files Hill Road in Thorndike for a registration violation. After making contact with the operator, 25-year-old Jennifer Connell, an investigation revealed that her driver’s license was currently suspended. Connell was charged for operating after suspension and released to a licensed operator.
