Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent activity:

Aug. 17

Earl Porter, 54, of Frankfort was charged with operating under the influence.

Trinna M. Lamson, 39, of Liberty was summoned for speeding for driving 44 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Aug. 18

Franklin D. Lemoine, 65, of Deland, Fla. was summoned for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

Laura W. Newsom, 38, of Belmont was summoned for speeding for driving 44 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Aug. 19

Kenneth J. Cole, 52, of Monroe was summoned for operating an unregistered motor vehicle for less than 150 days.

William Whitcomb, 30, of Frankfort was summoned for attaching false plates.

Cheryl Cook, 40, of Northport was charged with domestic violence assault.

Aug. 21

Derek A. Swanson, 20, of Skowhegan was charged with operating under the influence (with one prior conviction), operating without a license and possession of liquor by a minor.

Megan Elliott, 23, of Falmouth was traveling east on Route 3 in Searsmont in a 2006 Honda just before 12:30 p.m. when a deer entered the road in the her travel lane. Elliott struck the deer with the right front of the vehicle. Damage to the Honda was estimated at $2,000. Elliott was not injured.

Aug. 22

Warren M. Ross, 20, of East Machias was summoned for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
