Garry G. Larrabee, 70, of Stockton Springs, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2011 at Waldo County General Hospital after a long and hard fought battle. He was born Aug.12, 1941 in Belfast, the son of Ralph and Elsie (Bowen) Larrabee.

Garry worked for many years at St. Regis, Champion Paper, and International Paper Mills. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, camping trips with the family, John Wayne Western movies, his morning coffee at “Perry’s,” putting together puzzles, along with playing cards and taking care of his wife.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Beulah; two sons, William and his wife Julie of Sandy Point, and Wayne and his wife Marni of Sullivan; three daughters, Pamela Peer of Stockton Springs, Patricia Eaton and her husband Danny of Stockton Springs, and Roxanne Smith and her husband Dwayne of Sandy Point; his many grandchildren; and great grandchildren; one sister, Helene Larry of Bangor; one brother, Dennis Larrabee and his wife Regina of Prospect; along with numerous other family and friends.

Garry was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Ralph Larrabee Jr. “Big Bud”; and six sisters, Maxine Larrabee, Katherine Larrabee, and Loretta Larrabee, Carol Howard, Louise Costigan, and Rebecca Costigan, and a great granddaughter, Taylor Greenleaf.

There will be a private memorial service held for immediate family only. Family and friends are invited to the burial at Gordon Cemetery in Searsport on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 12:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather after the services at the family home in Stockton Springs.
