The Belfast Historical Society and Museum announces the printing of the new Belfast History and Architecture Walking Tour brochures.
The Church Street and Primrose Hill Tour and the Downtown and Waterfront Tour feature houses, churches, and commercial structures of historic and architectural interest. All of the structures are included in Belfast’s Historic District, which is recognized by the National Register of Historic Places.
The first self-guided walking tours were initially published more than 10 years ago and were reprinted several times. The new brochures have been completely rewritten, reformatted, and feature more sites and expanded architectural and historical information.
The tours are free, self-guided, and include easy-to-follow maps. Tour brochures can be picked up at the Belfast Museum and the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce Information Center.
The Belfast Historical Society and Museum would like to thank all the sponsors, whose support made these tours possible:
• Bangor Savings Bank
• Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce
• Belfast Office Supply and Services
• Beyond the Sea
• Consumers Fuel Company
• Coyote Moon
• Delvino’s Grill and Pasta House
• Home Supply Center
• Old Stuff
• Our Town Belfast
• The Jeweled Turret Inn
• Three Tides and Marshall Wharf Brewing Co.
• Traci’s Diner
• The Hut Foundation
