Thanks to the generosity of the Quimby Family Foundation, the Marsh River Theater has a new handicap-accessible ramp and walkway that meets ADA regulations.

The Quimby Family Foundation is committed to increasing access to the arts throughout Maine as well as advancing wilderness values. Each year, the foundation receives hundreds of concept letters from nonprofit organizations throughout the state hoping for an invitation to submit a formal application.

Marsh River Theater is a community theater located in Brooks. Its mission as a community of friends of the performing arts is to provide a venue for aspiring artists of all ages, allowing them to hone their skills while offering affordable entertainment for audiences from central Maine and beyond. The building also serves as a venue for several local groups and gives local artists the opportunity to showcase their work in the hall.
