The Belfast boys soccer team hosted Morse of Bath Saturday morning at Belfast Area High School, with the Lions hoping to put an end to the Shipbuilders’ brief two-game winning streak to start the campaign.

The Lions (2-1) roared out of the gate, scoring once in the first half and adding an insurance goal in the second 40 minutes, en route to a 2-0 victory over the visitors.

Marcus Riley and Yanni Rakis each scored for Belfast, while each assisted on the other’s tallies.

Tyler Baker also made seven saves in goal for Belfast. The Lions held an 11-8 edge in shots and a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
