Midcoast high school golfers were on the links taking their swings at the little white dimpled ball — and their opponents — in Sept. 16 play.

The following is a recap of the recent matches involving local squads:

Belfast 9, Mount View 0 … At the Northport Golf Club Sept. 16, a battle for Waldo County links supremacy was no match as the host Lions (3-4) won easily, finishing with a four-golfer stroke total of 173 to Mount View’s 226. Lion Jamie Jackson shot 40 for nine holes as the medalist. Mount View is 0-6.

The individual results, with Lions listed first, were: Jackson (40) beat Erik Larrabee (44); Tim Sticht (41) beat Dan Muther (62); Tyler McDevitt (44) beat Zach Holman (58); Logan Mitchell (54) beat Owen Freeman (69); Grant Starrett (53) beat Montana Maynard (66); and Jack Smith (48) beat Joel Poulin (62).

Lincoln Academy 6.5 Camden Hills 2.5 … At the par-34 Samoset Resort Golf Club Sept. 16, the visiting Eagles (6-0) and Windjammers (2-5) played a competitive match, with LA finishing with a four-golfer stroke total of 169 to 171 for Camden Hills. Eagle Seward Matel shot 38 for nine holes as the medalist.

The individual results, with Windjammers listed first, were; Daulton Wickenden (40) beat Malcolm Oliver (43); John Vannorsdall (40) lost to Matel (38); Miles Ingraham (46) lost to Goron Johanson (43); Drew Holt (50) lost to Jalen Lincoln (45); Max Fischer (45) beat Cody Graves (48); and and Andrew Kyle (48) and Casey Poland (48) tied.

Lewiston 7, Oceanside 2 … At the Rockland Golf Club Sept. 15, the visiting Blue Devils finished with a four-golfer stroke total of 191 and the Mariners (2-5) ended at 192. Oceanside’s Reilly Flanagan shot 45 for nine holes as the medalist.

The individual results, with Mariners listed first, were: Flanagan (45) lost to Brandon Tiner (46), 1-down; Jordan Carter (46) beat Cam Marquis (50), 1-up; Zeke Hamlin (56) lost to Matt Myrick (46), 5 and 4; Parker Spear (49) beat Nick Gilbert (50), 1-up; J.T. Tobin (52) lost to Tyler Houle (49), 2-down; and Bethany Schulberg (60) lost to Evan Bourassa (50), 2-down.

Searsport 212, Sumner 257 … At Sorrento Sept. 13, the Vikings (2-2) saw Alex Carroll (40) finish as the medalist for the second straight match. Searsport’s individual nine-hole scores were: Alex Carroll (40), Dillan Moody (46), Jacob Bucklin (61), Nathaniel Gray (65) and Rica Barloso (74). Sumner’s scores were: Braden Wentworth (57), Vincent Ossanna (66), Brianna Fernandez (65) and Casey Slater (69).
