Winterport stays busy with two weeks of results

As the season winds down, Winterport Dragway continues to be a busy place, with hard-charging action Sept. 11 and 18.

The individual results from Sept. 18 were:

Super Pro/Pro — 1, Russell Calder, Campobello, N.B.; and 2, Bob Cousins, Brewer.

Super Pro Eliminator — 1, Cousins, Brewer; and 2, Cici Eberle, Searsmont. Semifinalist: Willy Larrabee, Stockton Springs.

Pro Eliminator — 1, Calder, Campobello, N.B.; and 2, Don Joy, Machias. Semifinalist: Robin Reynolds, Winterport.

Bikes/Sleds — 1, Jim Marston, Fairfield; and 2, Bill Hale, Norridgewock. Semifinalist: Brent Mitchell, Mount Desert Island.

Pro Street Eliminator — 1, Randy Herrick, Stockton Springs; and 2, Bill Dammier, Deer Isle. Semifinals: Terry Sutherland, Ellsworth; and Gage Reynolds, Bangor.
