The Searsport boys soccer team certainly has gotten off to a rough start to the season.

After giving up eight goals in three games — all losses — to start the campaign, the Vikings (0-4) surrendered eight goals in 80 minutes to talented Dexter Monday afternoon as the Tigers roared to an 8-0 win at Searsport.

Ryan Wilks, Will Pearsall, Jared McDonald and Erik Nytell each scored two goals for Dexter, while Wilks added two assists and Bailey Spack and Bryce Webber all added one.

Vinnie Malinauskas made three saves in goal for Dexter, while Austin Bean and Jay Burkard combined to make 10 saves in the net for Searsport. Buddy Ellis also made a brief appearance in net late in the second half on a penalty shot for the Vikings.

Dexter outshot Searsport 24-3, while the Vikings still has yet to score on the young season.
