The Busline League boys, girls and coed soccer regular seasons have drawn to a close, with most postseason games set to begin next week.

Many preliminary playoff games have been decided with games played Oct. 5. The official first round of the postseason will begin Tuesday, Oct. 11 and will culminate with the Busline League championships, to be held Saturday, Oct. 15 at Point Lookout in Northport.

The coed championship will be played at 10 a.m., the boys championship at noon and the girls final at 2 p.m.

The following are final standings and playoff pairings for boys, girls and coed soccer, according to Camden-Rockport Middle School athletic director Matt Smith, who is the director of that sport this fall.

Boys Northern Division

Final standings: 1, Camden-Rockport, 8-1-0; 2, Oceanside West, 7-2; 3, Searsport, 2-6; and 4, Troy Howard of Belfast, 0-7-1.

In playoff games set for Oct. 11, No. 4 Troy Howard will travel to No. 1 CRMS, while No. 3 Searsport will travel to No. 2 Oceanside West.

Girls Northern Division

Final standings: 1, Camden-Rockport, 8-0; 2, Troy Howard, 5-2-1; 3, Oceanside West “B”, 4-3-2; 4, Oceanside West “A”, 1-6; and Searsport, 0-8.

No. 4 Oceanside West “A” hosted No. 5 Searsport in a prelim game Oct. 5, but results from that game were not available.

In playoff games set for Oct. 11, the winner of the Vikings/Mariners game will face No. 1 CRMS, while No. 3 Oceanside West “B” will travel to No. 2 Troy Howard.

Boys Southern Division

Final standings: 1, Wiscasset, 10-0; 2, Medomak, 7-3; 3, Woolwich, 5-4-1; 4, Richmond, 4-3-2; 5, Great Salt Bay of Damariscotta, 1-7-1; and 6, Jefferson, 0-9-1.

No. 3 Woolwich hosted No. 6 Jefferson and No. 4 Richmond hosted No. 5 Great Salt Bay in prelim games Oct. 5. Richmond defeated Great Salt Bay (score unavailable), while results from the Woolwich/Jefferson game were not available.

In playoff games set for Oct. 11, No. 4 Richmond will travel to No. 1 Wiscasset, while the winner of the Wildcats/Chargers game will travel to No. 2 Medomak.

Girls Southern Division

Final standings: 1, Richmond, 12-0; 2, Medomak, 9-3; 3, Jefferson, 7-5; 4, Great Salt Bay, 6-6; 5, Woolwich, 5-6-1; 6, Wiscasset, 0-9-3; and 7, Boothbay, 0-10.

No. 2 Medomak defeated No. 7 Boothbay 7-0 in prelim action Oct. 5, while prelim results from the contests between No. 6 Wiscasset and No. 3 Jefferson, along with No. 5 Woolwich at No. 4 Great Salt Bay, were not available.

In playoff games set for Oct. 11, the winner of the Woolwich/GSB game will travel to No. 1 Richmond, while No. 2 Medomak will host the winner of No. 3 Jefferson and No. 6 Wiscasset.

Coed

Final standings: 1, Lincolnville, 9-0; 2, Hope, 7-1; 3, Appleton, 7-2; 4, St. George, 6-3; 5, Bristol, 4-3; 6, Camden-Rockport 6th, 4-5; 7, Camden-Rockport 7th, 3-6 8, South Bristol, 1-7-1; 9, Vinalhaven, 1-6-1; and 10, Nobleboro, 0-9.

No. 9 Vinalhaven traveled to No. 8 South Bristol for a prelim game, but results from that game were not available.

Both Camden-Rockport sixth- and seventh-grade teams sported identical 3-5 records heading into the Oct. 6 regular-season finale, with Camden-Rockport 6th pulling out a 2-1 win over Camden-Rockport 7th. Thus, the Camden-Rockport seventh grade squad finished in the No. 7 seed and will host No. 10 Nobleboro in the division’s second prelim game.

In playoff games set for Oct. 11, the Vinalhaven/South Bristol winner will travel to face No. 1 Lincolnville, while the Nobleboro/CRMS 7th-grade winner will travel to No. 2 Hope. Also, the Camden-Rockport 6th-grade squad will travel to No. 3 Appleton, while No. 5 Bristol will travel to No. 4 St. George.

Boys soccer

Oct. 6, the Camden-Rockport defeated Oceanside 2-1 in overtime. Adam Hamilton scored in regulation for the Schooners, while Will Cole converted a penalty kick in overtime to seal the deal. Alex Forcillo played in net for CRMS, while information on Oceanside was unavailable.

Girls soccer

At Waldoboro Oct. 5, No. 2 Medomak posted a 7-0 victory over No. 7 Boothbay in the first round of the playoffs. Sophie Cohen led the Riverhawks with a three-goal effort, while Maggie Cox, Hannah Watmough, Taylor Smith and Maggie Ryan each creased the net for the hosts.

Coed soccer

At Camden Oct. 6, the Camden-Rockport 6th earned a 2-1 win over the Camden-Rockport 7th. Calvin Cameron assisted on an Abby Chamberlain goal to lead the seventh graders, while Sarah Contento scored for the sixth graders and Tucker Grinnell scored the game-winner with 21 seconds left in regulation. Lucas Boetsch made 20 saves in net for the winners.
