Family and friends of Stephen Clark of Winterport will hold a benefit fundraiser in his honor Sunday, Oct. 23 at My Fork Restaurant & Sports Lounge, 268 Odlin Road.

The benefit will be from 2 to 10 p.m. and will feature many different fundraising events including a silent auction; raffles for big prizes; a 50/50 raffle; and T-shirt and wristband sales.  There will be live music from 2 to 8 p.m. featuring Oversoul, Riptyde and Donnie Havel and Allison Ames of Rodeo, followed by karaoke from 8 to 10 p.m.

Children are welcome to the family event, and there will be a children’s table with coloring and art projects, as well as many child-friendly menu options. One-third of all My Fork Restaurant & Sports Lounge’s sales from the day will go directly to Clark, who Clark was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer and lymphoma three months ago. Since then, he has seen numerous doctors in Bangor, Brewer and Boston for continuing medical treatment. With medical bills piling up and Clark out of work for an undetermined amount of time, his family and friends have decided to put on this benefit in his honor with all proceeds going to Stephen and his wife Judy.

Pre-event T-shirts are available by contacting Sherrie Flewelling at 745-1606 or by contacting one of the event organizers on the Facebook page; search for Benefit Fundraiser for Stephen Clark. Donations also may be sent to Benefit for Stephen Clark, c/o Sherrie Flewelling, 69 Cove Road, Winterport, ME 04496; make checks payable to Stephen or Judy Clark.
