Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent activity:

Oct. 3

Daniel Larrabee, 47, of Belfast was summoned for speeding (59 mph in a 45 mph zone).

Brett Hensen, 53, of Jackson had brought his 2001 Dodge pickup to KNK Garage in Waldo to have the vehicle inspected. The truck, which has a standard transmission, was parked inside the garage. Hansen had just finished checking the lights, took the truck out of reverse and evidently did not put it back in gear or set the brake. Hensen got out of the vehicle, and a mechanic was in the bed of the truck changing a brake light bulb when the truck began rolling backward. Hensen attempted to open the drivers side door to get back in the truck as it was rolling, and his arm got caught between the door of the truck and the side of the garage door.
