Troy Howard Middle School student-athletes continue to raise funds to support the sixth- and seventh-grade basketball teams. The teams need to raise $3,000 by Nov. 21 in order to have teams for the coming season.

The children will host a dance on Friday, Nov. 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at THMS. Admission is $4. There also will be a bake sale/concession. All admission and food sales will benefit the basketball fund.

Additionally, there will be a basketball shooting clinic on Saturday, Nov. 5 from noon to 3 p.m. at THMS. The clinic is for boys and girls in grades six through eight and those who attend can come from any school.

Participation is a minimum donation of $10. The clinic is hosted by Stanley Sturgis and Penson Bartlett.

Participation donations also will go to the basketball fund. One can register at the door the day of the clinic.
