Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County is looking for a family to partner with on construction of its second home this spring in Searsport.
There are a number of criteria to be eligible for a Habitat home, including you must:
• be a Waldo County resident;
• be able to pay back the cost of the home with a no-interest mortgage;
• be willing to partner with Habitat to build your home, including performing volunteer labor in the construction of your home and participating in Habitat volunteer activities;
• attend training regarding the buying and owning of home; and
• meet the income guideline, which are based on family size. For a family of two, your income must be between $13,000 and $34,700; for a family of four, the figures are $16,250 and $43,350; for family of six, the range is $18,850 and $50,300; while for a family of eight, your income must be between $21,450 and $57,251.

The first will be held in the cafeteria at Searsport High School from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The second will be held at the Unity Union Church, 13 Depot St., Unity, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
