With the high school soccer season now in the rear view mirror, the 17th annual Maine Soccer Coaches’ Association Senior Bowl is set for Sunday, Nov. 13 at Hampden Academy as many talented players from around the state — and the Midcoast — will get a final opportunity to represent their respective schools.

Ten student-athletes from Knox, Waldo and part of Lincoln County will participate in the games. The boys contest will begin at noon, while the girls game will follow at 2:30 p.m.

Games, which are a combination of Eastern and Western players from Classes A, B, C and D split into two teams, will consist of two 60-minute halves as opposed to the more traditional two 40-minute halves, in an effort to give all the players on the expanded rosters ample playing time.

The following are Midcoast student-athletes who have been offered the opportunity to participate in the Senior Bowl:

Eastern Class B boys — Camden Hills’ Sam Predham, Ian Cushing, Malcolm Steele and Andrew Flanagan; and Mount View’s Zoli Kertesz.

Western Class D boys — Vinalhaven’s Steven Osgood.

Eastern Class B girls — Medomak Valley’s Mallory Conary.

Western Class D girls — Vinalhaven’s Izza Drury, Blake Reidy and Alex Slivinsky.
