Residents of all ages turned out for the Veterans Day parade in downtown Belfast Friday morning, Nov. 11.

The parade, which was sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3108 and American Legion Post 43, included several local veterans, area residents, patriotic floats, members of the Belfast Police and Fire departments and newly re-elected Mayor Walter Ash.

The parade, which began at Belfast Area High School and wound down Waldo Avenue and Main Street, was capped off with a brief remembrance ceremony that was held at the public landing.
