Bruce Francis Tibbetts, 62, passed away at his son Barron’s residence in Unity after a long illness on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011. He was born in Lincoln on July 3, 1949 to Louise Tibbetts.

Bruce grew up in Freedom and Knox and attended area schools, graduating from Mount View High School in 1969. Bruce enjoyed the outdoors as a kid and was active in the Boy Scouts. Bruce has had various jobs during his lifetime: Maplewood and Penobscot in Belfast, the chicken plant in Winslow, KFC for quite a few years, and most recently helping out Robert Sezak at Re-books in Waterville.

Bruce was predeceased by his mother, Louise McFarland, and stepfather, Ralph McFarland, both of Knox; son, Bruce Francis Hiscoe of Waterville; his second wife, Kathleen Tibbetts of Winslow; his brother-in-law, Perry Larrabee, and nephew, Jason Larrabee, both of Knox.

He is survived by his children, Barron Tibbetts and his fiancé Mary Howard, both of Unity, Jessica Tibbetts, and Stuart Tibbetts of Warren, R.I.; five grandchildren, Logan Tibbetts, Mckenzie, Ella, Nicholas, and Jordan Tibbetts; his sister, Vicky (McFarland) Larrabee of Knox; nephews, Andy, Chris and Lisa Larrabee; as well as cousins from the McFarland and Tibbetts families.
