Kathleen June (Tobin) Crane, 71, passed away in Bangor on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011. She was born in Holyoke, Mass. on Aug. 11, 1940 to Edward and Catherine (Reilly) Tobin.

She was a graduate of Stafford High School in Connecticut and a 1960 graduate of Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Mass.

Among the places Kathleen was employed were the Hamilton Standard Corporation, Travelers Insurance Company and Parson’s Child Care Center. Kathleen was also a dance instructor at Ann’s Dance Studio in Enfield.

Kathy loved books, nature, painting — especially horses and seascapes; the performing arts — especially ballet and classical music. She also loved Native American culture and history, the Boston Red Sox and Maine. Kathy is fondly remembered for her decency, hearty laugh, individualism, her Irish spirit and sense of justice.

She was predeceased by both parents and a son, Daniel Robert.

Survivors include her partner in life’s adventures, Terry Furlong; a daughter, Colleen and her husband Rob; two sons, Kevin and his partner Lisa, Sean Patrick and his partner Jackie; two grandchildren, Shannon and Grahame; her beloved Aunt June; cousins Susan, Patti and their children; and dear friends, Rita, Freddie and Theresa.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Court Street, Belfast.
