The Searsport Historical Society will be holding two holiday-themed events in coming weeks.

Holiday House Tour

A Holiday House Tour will take place Saturday, Dec. 10 from 1-4 p.m. There will be seven local homes decorated for the season. They include A.V. Nichols Inn, Homeport Inn, Keith and Dawn Ritchie’s home, Don and Faith Garrold’s home, Marie Underwood’s home, the Fowler-True-Ross House, and the Crary-Carlon-Coleman House.

The homes will be numbered. Tickets and maps are now available for $10 per person at the Searsport Antique Mall and Left Bank Books. The proceeds will benefit the Society’s Barn Fund.

Christmas party and dessert

On Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., the Searsport Historical Society will hold its annual Christmas party at the Crary-Carlon-Coleman House located on Sears Island Road. The beautifully restored house will be festively decorated for the occasion, and a social evening will be enjoyed by members and guests. A delicious dessert buffet will be served by the board of directors.

Those attending are asked to bring an unwrapped gift for a needy child (including teenagers), which will be turned over to the Wings of Love and distributed for Christmas.
