Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity:

Nov. 22

Dakota Sanford, 18, of Belfast was charged with assault.

Derek J. DeJoy, 48, of belfast was summoned for speeding for (41 mph in a 25 mph zone).

Nov. 23

Shawn M. O’Brien, 26, of Belfast was arrested on warrants for failure to pay fines.

Nov. 24

Natalie M. Nightingale, 20, of Bangor was headed south on Route 1 in a 2007 Chevrolet. According to the accident report, it had snowed the day before and the roadway was still icy in spots. Additionally, a plow truck had come by prior to Nightingale and pushed snow from the center of the roadway to the right. This left a deposit of snow on the right-hand side of the southbound travel lane, the report stated. When Nightingale encountered the snow in the road she lost control and the vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle continued into the ditch and rolled over once, coming to rest back on its wheels. Nightingale was not hurt in the crash.

Nov. 25

Ryan C. Cargo, 29, of Lanham, Md., was summoned for speeding (54 mph in a 40 mph zone).

Nov. 26

Khristy Carter, 29, of Warren was summoned for speeding (56 mph in a 35 mph zone).

Harold Leathers, 41, of Morrill, was summoned for speeding (41 mph in a 25 mph zone).

Joanne M. Doyne-Ditmas, 43, of Belfast was summoned for speeding (50 mph in a 25 mph zone).

Janey O. Rountree, 33, of Brooklyn, N.Y. was summoned for speeding (65 mph in a 45 mph zone).

Ashley L. Phillips, 19, of Alexandria, Va., was summoned for speeding (53 mph in a 35 mph zone).

Nov. 27

Anthony R. Robbins, 22, of Swanville was arrested on a warrant for domestic violence assault, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal mischief.

Sherry A. Runci, 30, of Belfast was summoned for possession of a usable amount of marijuana.

Katrina E. Simpson, 25, of Belfast was charged with disorderly conduct.

Nov. 28

Kenneth J. Heidtmann, 26, of Belfast was summoned for speeding (47 mph in a 30 mph zone).

Joseph J. Bailey, 25, of Knox was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines. Bailey was also charged with refusing to submit to arrest or detention, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Adam Gray, 23, of Swanville was arrested on a charge of refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

Jonathan D. McCue, 23, of Knox was arested on charges of refusing to submit to arrest or detention, violating conditions of release, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia.
