The Camden Snow Bowl will sponsor its Flurry Fest Saturday, Dec. 10 from noon to 3 p.m.

The Flurry Fest is an open house or showcase of all the winter activities and winter organizations affiliated with the Snow Bowl.

There will be three local ski and snowboard shops — Ragged Mountain Sports, Maine Sport Outfitters and Snowenjava — on-hand to display what they offer this winter for merchandise, tune packages, rental gear or lease programs.

The Ragged Mountain Recreation Foundation will be on-hand to discuss its ongoing fundraising efforts and have a model of what the new lodge will look like.

Officials from the Ragged Mountain Ski and Snowboard Club will be available to talk about the club and selling tickets to its New Year’s Eve fundraiser.

One also will be able to sign-up for racing and ski and snowboard school as well as get a picture taken for a season’s pass.

Snowmaking is projected to be underway Additionally, race coaches will host a wax clinic (held in the race building next to the lodge). There will be three sessions — noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The Terrain Park crew will be working hard (if snowmaking allows) to put a box in place for people to ski or ride on. The box will be set up next to the lodge and will be open from noon to 3 p.m.

The food concession will be open for light snacks and drinks.
