Waldo County General Hospital is offering an American Red Cross cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification course. The adult CPR class will be held Monday, Dec. 12, with the infant and child CPR class scheduled for Monday, Dec. 19. Both classes will run from 5 to 9 p.m. in the hospital’s Education Center on Northport Avenue in Belfast.

Lonie Brown, certified ARC instructor, will conduct the classes, which are not only important for daycare providers and caregivers, but for anyone interested in learning CPR. Participants will receive a certification card upon successful completion of the course.

Class size is limited so registration is necessary by calling 338-2500, Ext. 4154. The CPR course booklet must be picked up prior to class from the Education Department on Monday through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The cost is $50 for both classes and $40 for one class, and should be paid when picking up class materials.
