Registrations are being accepted for the second annual Blueberry Cove 13.1, which will take place Sunday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 a.m. in Tenants Harbor.

The half-marathon, or 13.1-mile road race, benefits the nonprofit Blueberry Cove Camp, which offers an enriching experience in nature to children at affordable rates.

The race course follows the seashore, passing a beach, Port Clyde village and Marshall Point Lighthouse.

One hundred people registered for the first race in August 2011 and there are 125 slots for the second annual event, and already a number of slots have been filled.

A prerace local foods dinner will take place Saturday, Aug. 25, and a blueberry brunch follows the race, along with handmade pottery awards for finishers in various categories. All participants receive a medallion.
