Members Showcase for MMW

Members of Maine Media Women will present their current and developing work during Part I of their annual Members Showcase Saturday, Jan. 7 at the Mobius Center, 319 Main St./Business Route 1. Those scheduled for presentations include poet Sherry Hanson; garden columnist Carol Howe; and poet Joyce Pye.

Maine Media Women meets monthly to exchange ideas and information and to offer mutual support and professional recognition. Guests are welcome. Coffee and networking begin at 9:15 a.m., and the meeting and program begin at 10 a.m. Suggested donations are $5, $3 for MMW members. Originally founded in 1951 as Maine Press, Radio and Television Women, MMW represents the full spectrum of communications careers.  Members include writers, artists, photographers, graphic designers, editors, website designers, advertising and marketing professionals, public relations practitioners, communications educators and specialists in broadcast, print and electronic media.
