Richard Paul Robinson, 59, passed away at his home in Thomaston on Jan. 14, 2012. He was born in Rockland on Sept. 7, 1952 to Condon and Pauline (Cotton) Robinson.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked many years for Nautica and then returned to the job he loved the most — driving a taxi. He loved visits from his granddaughters. He enjoyed camping, fishing and learning how to play his guitar. He loved telling stories and making people laugh. He enjoyed a good game of cribbage with his best friend, Henry. Family gatherings at home were a favorite time for him.

He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia of Thomaston; his children, Aaron Henry, Kendra Ann and Tracy Elizabeth, all of Rockland; his brothers and sisters, Chip Mitchell and his wife Linda, Denise Pearse and her husband Larry, Debra Heaberlin and her husband Kent, Parker Mitchell, Stanley Tewksbury and his wife Jean, and Cheryl Coutermash and her husband Lou; and his grandchildren, Kloey Iris, Melody Rose and Desmond Andrew. He is also survived by his special family, Ron Jr., Frances, Leona, Nancy, Eve, Skip, Mark and Lauri-Lyn. He is loved by many and missed by all.

There will be a celebration of life benefit and pot luck on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m., at the Oddfellow Hall, Route 1, Warren. Call Pat at 593-7873 with questions.
