Thanks to Bay Chamber Concerts’ Performing Arts Series, musical theater lovers can skip the trip to New York City and see five Broadway stars and 50 of the greatest characters from Broadway musicals, all in one unforgettable evening and all on the Camden Opera House stage.

Bay Chamber Concerts will present “100 Years of Broadway,” sponsored by The First, Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at the downtown opera house. Direct from New York, attendees will hear songs from the greatest Broadway musicals such as “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “Jersey Boys,” “Chicago,” “Mamma Mia!” and “Jekyll & Hyde,” presented by a dazzling cast of five Broadway stars who sang many of these roles on the Great White Way, supported by an all-star New York band.

“100 Years of Broadway” recreates the greatest moments from the finest shows of the century featuring the actual stars of shows such as Rita Harvey (Christine Daee, “Phantom of the Opera”), Ray McLeod (Wreck, “Wonderful Town”), Carter Calvert (Grizabella, “Cats”), Danny Zolli (Jesus, “Jesus Christ Superstar”) and Erick Buckley (Jean Valjean, “Les Miserables”) along with musical director and pianist Neil Berg. These amazing performers light up the stage and Berg presents brilliantly revived arrangements of Broadway classics as well as thrilling numbers from Broadway’s newest hit shows.
