Everyone is invited to beat the February blahs by joining instructor Marcie Jan Bronstein of Belfast for an afternoon of creating colorful fantasy sculptures on wheels from wood scraps. The drop-in ArtLab workshop for all ages will take place Saturday, Feb. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, 162 Russell Ave. All materials will be provided.

CMCA’s ArtLab workshops have been a hit with people from age 2 to 82. Artist/educator Bronstein has a special interest in working collaboratively with children. She is known for her unique hand-colored images and work with the photographic negative, and her art is exhibited and collected internationally.

ArtLab is made possible in part by support from Camden National Bank and individual donors. CMCA’s major media sponsors are Maine Home + Design and Maine magazines.
