Musician and sound healer Lori LeBlanc will present two Tibetan singing bowl/peace wave concerts: Friday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. at Belfast Yoga Studio 424 Belfast Center, 9 Field St; and Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at the SoulMoves Healing Arts Center, 385 Main St. in the Thorndike Building, Rockland. A sliding donation of $5 to $15 is requested for the hour-long events.

“The Tibetan bowls, from Nepal, are not only pleasing to the human ear, they offer harmonic vibrations that support healing and balancing,” said LeBlanc. She added that the sounds produced invite listeners to open their hearts, clear their minds and access inner peace. Participants are encouraged to get comfortable and relax, as LeBlanc “sings” the bowls for 30 to 40 minutes, ending with five minutes of silence.

“The singing bowls are best appreciated in an atmosphere of quiet and stillness. Children who can feel comfortable in that atmosphere are welcome to attend,” she said.
