Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent activity:

Feb. 6

Leslie Bates, 49, of Unity was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault.

Feb. 7

Jared Regimbal, 24, of Freedom was arrested on two counts of domestic violence assault.

Melissa W. Norton, 54, of Mt. Vernon was headed south on Rollins Road in Freedom in a 2004 Volvo when she lost control due to icy ruts in the roadway. The vehicle left the road, hit a tree and spun around, coming to rest in the northbound lane facing north. Norton did not sustain any injuries in the accident.

Reginald Cary, 76, of Bucksport was headed south on Fort Knox Road in Prospect in a 2006 Chevrolet pickup when he slowed almost to a full stop to ask a pedestrian if he needed a ride. Meanwhile a single-unit truck with attached loaded trailer that was operated by 49-year-old Gary Fowler of Thorndike was following behind Cary. Fowler reportedly did not see Cary stop in time to avoid rear-ending Cary’s truck. Neither of the drivers were injured.

Feb. 8

Lindsey Milliken, 27, of Brooks was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Tess Morrison, 20, of Belfast was charged with operating after suspension.

Roger D. Ford, 51, of Lisbon was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Renn Fowler, 69, of Belfast was headed north on Hope Road in Lincolnville in a 2005 Lexus when she was unable to avoid hitting a deer that was crossing the road. Fowler was not hurt.

Feb. 9

Adam Skinner, 23, of Belfast was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines.

Feb. 10

Karen Reid, 52, of Clinton was traveling on Winnecook Road in Burnham in a 1996 Jeep SUV when she failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle left the road, went into the ditch and struck a big rock. The vehicle went up over the top of the rock and came to rest on the other side. Unity Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene to treat Reid and her passenger, 44-year-old Edward Mea. According to the accident report, Reid was bleeding from her head and Mea was being treated for broken bones. Neither Reid nor Mea were wearing seat belts, and the accident report also stated that police believed Reid was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The accident report stated that a blood test was conducted on Reid, and that the results of the test are pending. As of Monday afternoon, Reid had not been charged with anything.

Feb. 11

Raymond A. Miner, 25, of Knox was arrested on charges of operating under the influence and operating after suspension.

Stephen E. Larrabee, 32, of Prospect was arrested on warrants for failure to appear in court.

Casey Wooley, 29, of Troy was traveling eastbound on Bangor Road in Troy in a 2008 Nissan pickup when she attempted to pass another vehicle. Wooley lost control on the icy road, went into the ditch and rolled over. Wooley was not hurt.

Christopher Choate, 39, of Weeks Mills was headed west on Route 3 in Belmont in a 20005 Chevrolet SUV when he lost control on the icy road. The vehicle left the roadway on the left side, entered the ditch while still in a skid and crashed. Choate was not injured.
