HeartSong, a community-based chorus, will sing Sunday, March 4 at 4 p.m. at the United Christian Church, 18 Searsmont Road/Route 173 in Lincolnville Center. This is the second program in the series Music and Reflection for the Season of Lent. The 45-minute programs, led by Pastor Susan Stonestreet, offer special musical performances, selected readings, and time for quiet reflection. All faiths are welcome.

HeartSong is a Belfast-based volunteer chorus that offers songs of comfort and peace to those who are in ill health or who are approaching the end of life. The singers’ calming, soft harmonies can open hearts, ease fears and bring comfort to everyone present including family members and caregivers. The music is selected to be sensitive to the physical and emotional state of the patient and to suit their musical and spiritual preferences.

Members of HeartSong are available to sing in private home, hospital rooms, nursing homes and hospice settings. For more information or to schedule a HeartSong service, contact Jean Goldfine at 338-3080.

The United Christian Church was built in 1821 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. It is fully handicapped accessible. For information, call 763-4526.
