As the Belfast Free Library celebrates 125 years of service to its patrons, it is also looking at the future. Justin Hoenke, teen librarian at Portland Library, will present a program on Monday, March 12 at 4 p.m., discussing new technology and its uses in the library.

Videogaming, tablets, eReaders and “other interesting technology stuff” will be on display in a kind of “petting zoo” array. Hoenke will be happy to help any age group with any kinds of questions.

Hoenke is well qualified to talk about technology, having developed a video game collection at the Portland Library, served as the teen/young adult Ebook selector for the state of Maine and worked to integrate WordPress, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube into teen services at Portland. He has written extensively and presented numerous programs on the topic of technology for library patrons.

This program is free and open to the public. For more information call the library at 338-3884, ext. 24.
