The monthly traditional shape note singing is set for Monday, April 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at First Church, between Court and Church streets (Spring Street entrance).

Shape note singing is energetic four-part unaccompanied community singing dating from Colonial New England, also known as “Sacred Harp” singing. The monthly sessions are open to all at no cost, and newcomers are most welcome. Singers are invited to get in practice for the 11th annual Three Days of Singing coming up in Union in July.
