Marsh River Theater will run a Youth Theater Camp Monday through Friday, April 16 through 20 with a short showcase performance Saturday, April 21. Campers will have the opportunity to work in small groups for three hours each day and will be divided into three age groups: 7 years old and younger, 9 a.m. to noon; 8 to 10 years old, 1 to 4 p.m.; and 11 to 13 years old, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

No prior theater experience is necessary. Campers will explore bigger-than-life facial expressions, emotions and movements on stage as well as working on projecting their voices so they can be heard in the back row. Participants will sing, dance, act out short skits and play theater games, working as a team to emphasize that every role is important in a production and as individuals to learn what it takes to develop a character.

Payment of $40 should be included with the registration form in order to save a spot as space is limited. To receive more information and a registration form, contact Louise Seekins at seekinsz@gmail.com with your postal mail address.
