Gather with friends from Belfast area churches at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (81 court St., Belfast). Through a Taize style service we will remember Christ’s crucifixion and death. This solemn and holy service is an important time to gather together as the community of Christ, the Church. All are welcome!

 

Searsport – Searsport United Methodist Church – 7 p.m.

The Searsport faith communities (including Searsport Congregational, Full Gospel, Safe Harbor and Searsport and North Searsport United Methodist Churches) will gather at the United Methodist Church (43 E. Main St.) in Searsport for the Good Friday observances. Rev. Norman Labonte will deliver the message. All are welcome!

Easter Sunrise Services

 

Belfast – Sunrise Service at Belfast Boathouse – 6 a.m.

 

Searsport – Sunrise Service at Hamilton Wharf – 6 a.m.

 

Gather at the Belfast Boathouse or at the Hamilton Wharf in Searsport to welcome Easter with the rising sun! This is always a wonderful way to begin this day of celebration and the power of resurrection in our lives. The gatherings are held outdoors so dress for the weather! All are welcome!

 

Easter breakfasts in Belfast

 

First Baptist Church (95 High St.) will begin serving good hot food immediately after the Sunrise Service.

 

First Church in Belfast, UCC (104 Church St.) – The youth of the church will serve a delicious hot breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. Donations will support the youth program.
