Waldo County band OdLaW will perform its eclectic blend of rock ‘n’ roll everyone’s listening and dancing pleasure during a youth baseball fundraiser dance Friday, April 20 at the American Legion Hall, 143 Church St., from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5, free for children younger than 10. Advance tickets are available at The Green Store.

The dance promise a fun evening of live, local, original entertainment for a worthy cause. OdLaW, featuring Jerry Weaver, Sam Ladd and Gary Grant, caught the ear of the Maine music scene last year with the release of their original album, “OdLaW 1,” and they played festivals and shows throughout the state including appearances at Bull Moose Record Store Days, Bangor’s West Market Festival and the Common Ground Fair.

Ladd and Weaver spent the winter writing and recording the soon-to-be-released followup to their debut disc and will break out new songs along with favorites, current to classic, at their first hometown appearance of the year. The dance is a family-friendly event. Everyone is encouraged to get out their dancing shoes, join in the fun and support youth baseball and local musicians.
