“Belfast Through A Lens,” selections from the Robert Hall Film Collection at the Belfast Museum, is airing on BCTV Channel 2 until Tuesday, May 1. The program can be seen on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m.

This “Window on History” program is presented by the Belfast Historical Society and Museum and features historic film footage capturing people and events in Belfast from the 1930s to the late 1980s. The Robert Hall film collection was received by the museum in 2002, and the film itself has been placed onto archival reels, cleaned, copied to master tapes and is in the state-of-the-art cold storage at Northeast Historic Film in Bucksport.

This film and all past “Window on History” presentations may be seen on the museum website, belfastmuseum.org, which offers new programs each month. To download the 2012 program schedule, visit the museum’s Facebook page.
