The Unity College Spring 5-Kilometer Road Race will be Saturday, April 21 at 9:30 a.m. This will mark the 30th annual running of the event, which takes place on the college campus.

The event is known as one of the fastest 3.1-mile road races in the state. The course, which starts from the Unity College gymnasium, winds through the village of Unity. Typically 75 to 100 runners and walkers participate in the event, co-sponsored by the Central Maine Striders Running Club.

Registration for the race begins at 8 a.m. in the college’s activities building. The race begins at start at 9:30 a.m., while walkers start at 9:15 a.m. The registration fee is $10.

Prizes for various age groups will be awarded. The race will coincide with the college’s Earth Day celebration.
