With one exception, the Midcoast high school athletic schedule for Monday, April 23 proved to be a wash out — thanks to heavy rain and soaked fields/courts.

Of the 14 athletic events scheduled in Knox, Waldo and part of Lincoln counties, only one — Oceanside girls at Camden Hills for a season-opening tennis match — will be played.

That match has been moved to the indoor courts at the Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport and will be played at 2:30 p.m., instead of the originally scheduled 4 p.m. start.

Medomak Valley varsity baseball and softball at Belfast to Tuesday, April 24 at 4:15 p.m. Jayvees in Waldoboro.

Maine Central Institute at Belfast boys tennis to Tuesday, April 24 at 4 p.m.

Belfast girls tennis at Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield to Tuesday, April 24 at 4 p.m.

Medomak Valley boys tennis at Lincoln Academy of Newcastle to Thursday, April 26 at 4 p.m.

Lincoln Academy at Medomak Valley girls tennis to Thursday, April 26 at 4 p.m.

Mount View varsity baseball and softball at Winslow to Tuesday, April 24 at 4:15 p.m. Jayvees in Thorndike.

Searsport varsity baseball and softball at Orono, makeup date not determined.
