The RSU 3 Board of Directors has set its District Budget meeting for Wednesday night, May 23, at the Mt. View Middle School Gymnasium at 7 p.m.

The meeting begin with a public hearing on a possible construction project to add a storage building to the Mt. View Complex utilizing already existing Capital Reserve Funds. At 7:10 p.m. discussions of the proposed fiscal year 2013 budget will begin with an overview of the proposed budget by Superintendent Perry, followed by a brief questions and answers period.

All voting citizens from the towns of Brooks, Freedom, Jackson, Knox, Liberty, Monroe, Montville, Thorndike, Troy, Unity, and Waldo are invited to attend the district budget meeting.

After the district budget meeting, voters will be asked to “validate” the results of the meeting on Tuesday, June 12, through a referendum vote. Voters will be asked to either vote “YES” to approve of the proposed RSU 3 budget passed at the district budget meeting or “NO” to disapprove of the proposed RSU 3 Budget that was passed at the district budget meeting. Polling places will be open during regular polling hours at all regular polling places (please contact Town Officials in your town for specific times and locations).
