“Feeling the Heat: Impacts of Climate Change on Maine Fish and Wildlife” is the subject of a talk at the monthly meeting of the Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition on Thursday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Belfast Free Library. Ron Joseph’s 60 minute power point program will cover how climate change is altering ecosystems in Maine and the consequences on terrestrial and aquatic species.

For three years Joseph worked for the Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and 30 years with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Born and raised in central Maine, Joseph retired in June 2010. However he remains active as a biologist, helping land trusts and nature-based businesses and by leading birding trips. The meeting is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
