With Åarhus Gallery coming up to its fifth anniversary, the partners are taking a Belfast moment to look to the contemporary significance of the number five. Over these five years, hundreds of artists have shown their view of the world on the gallery’s white walls and heart-pine floor. Åarhus has been witness to many smiles and some tears, as well.

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, the Åarhus partners invite the public to join them, with all five senses, Friday, June 1 for an anniversary show reception from 5 to 8 p.m. at the downtown gallery, 50 Main St.

The anniversary show will open Thursday, May 31 and run July 1. It features art works by Åarhus partners — Kevin Johnson, Mark Kelly, Richard Mann, Wesley Reddick and Willy Reddick.

Åarhus Gallery will resume summer hours starting in June and will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Mondays by chance. For more information, visit aarhusgallery.com or call 338-0001.
