The annual Peter Ott’s 10-Kilometer Road Race and one-mile children’s fun run will be Sunday, June 3. The races begin and end on Bayview Street.

The one-mile race begins at 8:30 a.m. and the 10K, or 6.2-mile event, at 9 a.m. Registration is 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.

The 10K run starts at the Camden Harbour Inn on Bayview Street and finishes at Peter Ott’s Restaurant.

The entry fee for the 10K is $18 per person, $33 for couples or $45 for families of three of more (additional family members $10). The one-mile run is $8 per child and $15 for two children in the same family (or $5 for each additional child after two).

The race, another in a series of fundraising events directed by Brower, raises money for an orphanage in Malwai, Africa. The orphanage was founded by Janet Littlefield, a native of Union. Money raised through the races help send 50 students to secondary school and to college.
