The Busline League middle school baseball and softball regular seasons are in the rear view mirror, with the postseason set to begin this week.

The playoffs were to begin Tuesday, May 29 (weather permitting), with the preliminary round, while the quarterfinals are slated to begin Thursday, May 31. the semifinals and division finals will take place the following week, with the Busline League championship games slated for Tuesday, June 12. These dates are subject to change due to inclement weather.

The following are the final standings for all four divisions, along with playoff pairings for local teams:

Baseball North Division: Oceanside Middle School of Rockland/Thomaston, 8-0; Medomak Middle School of Waldoboro, 5-3; Camden-Rockport Middle School, 3-5; Troy Howard Middle School of Belfast, 2-5; and Searsport District Middle School, 1-6.

No. 4 Troy Howard will host No. 5 Searsport on Thursday, May 31 at 3:45 p.m. with the semifinals to be played next week. No. 1 Oceanside will face the winner of No. 4 Troy Howard and No. 5 Searsport, while No. 2 Medomak will host No. 3 Camden-Rockport.

Baseball South Division: Wiscasset Middle School, 7-1; Great Salt Bay of Damariscotta, 6-1-1; Richmond Middle School, 5-1-1; Camden-Rockport, 6-2; Medomak, 4-4; Oceanside, 3-5; Bristol Consolidated School, 2-6; Boothbay Region Elementary School, 1-6; and Jefferson Village School, 0-8. Wiscasset and Great Salt Bay receive byes.

No. 6 Oceanside will travel to face No. 3 Richmond on Thursday, May 31 at 4 p.m., while No. 5 Medomak will travel to face No. 4 Camden-Rockport on Wednesday, May 30 at 3:30 p.m. in a pair of quarterfinal playoffs.

Softball North Division: Oceanside, 8-2; Troy Howard, 6-3; Medomak, 6-4; Camden-Rockport, 6-4; Searsport, 2-7; and Lincolnville Central School, 0-10. No. 1 Oceanside and No. 2 Troy Howard receive first-round byes.

No. 6 Lincolnville will play at No. 3 Medomak on Thursday, May 31 at 3:45 p.m., while No. 5 Searsport will play at No. 4 Camden-Rockport on Thursday, May 31 at 3:45 p.m. in a pair of quarterfinal playoffs.

Softball South Division: Richmond, 10-0; Great Salt Bay “7th”, 8-2; Oceanside, 8-2; Jefferson, 7-3; Great Salt Bay “8th”, 6-4; Nobleboro, 5-5; Bristol, 5-5; Camden-Rockport, 3-7; Boothbay, 2-7; Medomak, 1-9; and Wiscasset, 0-9.

No. 9 Boothbay will travel to face No. 8 Camden-Rockport on Wednesday, May 30 at 3:45 p.m., while No. 10 Medomak will travel to face No. 7 Bristol on Tuesday, May 29 at 3:45 p.m. in a pair of preliminary playoffs. Medomak beat No. 11 Wiscasset in a prelim playoff on May 26.

No. 6 Nobleboro will travel to face No. 3 Oceanside on Thursday, May 31 at 4 p.m. in a quarterfinal playoff.
