Searsmont Girl Scout Troop 533 held its badge ceremony on May 22 at the Searsmont Community Center. The troop worked hard selling cookies this year. Thank you to all who purchased cookies. With a portion of the profits from their cookie sales, they chose to give a $200 donation to Expanding Opportunities. This contribution will support a 9-year-old girl, Juliza, in Kenya, Africa. She will be able to attend a boarding primary school, receive three meals a day and have a place to live.
