In just a month’s time — Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8 — artists will fill Heritage Park, downtown on Belfast’s waterfront, for the 17th annual Arts in the Park. This year there are many new artists, along with many favorite regulars; in all, 85 juried artists will be participating.

A handpainted scarf by fiber artist Jodi Clayton, the event’s Artist of the Year, fiber artist, serves as the motif for this year’s poster, which was designed by Sara Shute. Clayton makes beautiful garments from hand-dyed and felted silk. Her gallery/boutique, One Lupine Fiber Arts, is on Park Street in Bangor.
