Northport resident and co-founder of the New Vaudeville Revue Kristen Burkholder will lend her sketch comedy chops to the Her Majesty’s Cabaret series Saturday, June 23 at 9 p.m. at the Bangor Opera House, 131 Main St., as part of Penobscot Theatre’s Northern Writes New Works Festival.

“Her Majesty’s Cabaret: Sells Out” will offer sketch comedy, performance art and short films that skewer commercialism, consumer culture and the almighty dollar. In addition to Burkholder, “HMC: Sells Out” showcases the comedic talents of Katie Toole, Adam Cousins, Ben Layman, Jasmine Ireland, Bradley LaBree, Emily Burnham and Zachary Robbins, as well as special performances from Bangor’s Living Dolls and dance troupe Paradigm East.

Tickets are $10, which also includes admission to the earlier daytime performances as part of Northern Writes. Tickets are available at the opera house box office or by calling 942-3333.

The show will be reprised Thursday, July 5 at Nocturnem Draft Haus, 56 Main St. Tickets are $7, and seating is limited to 75; for information, call 991-1211.
